Child policy: - Children under 5 years old are free of charge. - Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult. - Children aged 5-15 years old require a child ticket. Good to know: - The reserve is wheelchair and mobility-scooter accessible, although some gates, inclines and unconcreted paths require assistance from an able-bodied companion. - Assistance dogs accredited by recognised New Zealand organisations are permitted with restrictions, including no access to bird walk-through aviaries. - The Kiwi Nocturnal House opens from 10:30 AM daily. - The reserve is closed on Christmas Day.
